Start with the general 2027 shortlist
YuanFen keeps one canonical list of 130 general Chinese almanac reference dates for 2027, sourced and cross-checked the same way for every page on this site. Rather than repeat that list here, this page links straight into it — filter by month, or by weekends only, on the main shortlist tool.

Weekend practicality
Of the 130 general reference dates, 41 fall on a Saturday or Sunday (21 Saturdays, 20 Sundays). Most Malaysian couples plan around a weekend for guest attendance, which narrows a full year of options down to a much shorter working list before you even start comparing against your birth charts or your venue’s calendar. See the full weekend breakdown on our weekend wedding dates 2027 page.
Venue availability
In Klang Valley, Penang and Johor Bahru especially, popular Saturday dates at well-known hotels and banquet halls are often booked out 12–18 months ahead. A practical order of operations: shortlist three to five candidate weekend dates from the general list first, then check those specific dates against your preferred venues — rather than picking a venue date first and hoping it happens to be auspicious.
Malaysia public holidays — not used here
This page does not use Malaysia public-holiday information as a date-selection factor, and no date on YuanFen is badged as a Malaysian public holiday. We looked for an official Malaysian government 2027 public-holiday gazette and could not find one published yet — only third-party aggregator sites, which we do not treat as authoritative. Singapore’s 2027 calendar is different: it is already confirmed via the official Ministry of Manpower gazette, covered on our Singapore wedding dates 2027 page.
Only have a few dates to choose from?
If your venue, family or budget has already narrowed you down to two or three real candidate dates, a full-year shortlist is not that useful on its own — what you actually want to know is which of your specific dates is best for the two of you. That is a personalised question, not a general-list question.
