Personalised ROM Date Selection in Malaysia

An auspicious registration date — and the right hour to sign — chosen from both partners' birth charts. Three dates, RM388 per couple, delivered within three days of confirmed payment.

What is ROM date selection?

ROM date selection chooses an auspicious day — and the favourable hour within it — for your Registration of Marriage: the day the two of you sign and your marriage formally begins. The date is read from both partners' birth charts using the classical method of 择日 (zé rì), so the day belongs to the two of you rather than to a general "lucky dates" list shared by everyone.

YuanFen provides this as a personalised service by consultant Daniel Siew. It is not an instant calculator: your charts are read together, by hand, and you receive a shortlist of three auspicious ROM dates in a keepsake report.

The registration is its own beginning

Many couples pour months of care into the banquet and treat the registration as paperwork. But the signing is the moment your marriage actually begins — for many families, it is the quiet, real start of everything. That is why the ROM date deserves its own selection, read against your charts like any important beginning.

"The banquet celebrates the marriage. The registration begins it."

Do your ROM and wedding dates need to be the same?

No. The registration and the celebration are different events, and they can be held on different days — even months apart. Each can be selected separately on its own merits. If you are weighing this up, our guide on whether your ROM and wedding dates can be different walks through when separate dates make practical sense.

What information is needed

  • Both partners' full names, dates of birth and birth times (a rough estimate is fine — note it in the form)
  • Your planning window, for example March to May 2027
  • Any dates to avoid, in the notes
  • Your email and WhatsApp number
  • One couple photo, printed inside your keepsake report

Parents' dates of birth are not needed for an ROM selection — they are only requested for wedding date selection, where both families are part of the day.

What the RM388 report includes

It's RM388 per couple. For an ROM you receive three auspicious dates, each with its recommended hour, together with a plain-language note on why these dates suit the two of you. The report is personalised — your names, your photo, your reasoning — and designed to be kept, not filed away.

How to order

Fill in the form on the YuanFen homepage and choose ROM (or Both, if you would like your wedding day selected too — it's still RM388 per couple, no extra charge for choosing Both). After you submit, you will be guided to payment. Once payment is confirmed, your calculation begins, and the report arrives at your email or WhatsApp within three days.
